Asset consultant JANA has appointed Georgina Dudley as its new Chief Executive Officer, after Jim Lamborn decided to step down after seven years in the role.
Lamborn will remain with JANA as Executive Director and continue to provide input into JANA’s commercial strategy as a senior member of the management team, the company said.
Dudley is currently General Manager, Strategy & Innovation at JANA and will take on the CEO role on 1 December 2022.
“JANA has been privileged to have Jim lead the business for the past seven years. It’s been a unique period of history, not only for JANA as an organisation, but also the wider world around us and Jim should be very proud of JANA’s achievements for clients during these tumultuous times,” Fiona Dunn, Chairperson of the JANA Board, said.
“We fully support Jim’s decision to take a step back from the demanding position of CEO and are delighted that he will continue to play a pivotal role at JANA, allowing the business to leverage his significant expertise and experience.”

Dudley has more than 20 years’ experience in investment advice and strategy, and has been with JANA for fourteen years across key leadership roles.
Her speciality lies in business strategy and innovation, where she has been central to the roll-out of embedding technology-enabled resources to improve client outcomes and leading broader strategic initiatives, including a greater focus on sustainability, JANA said in a statement.
“I am delighted to be appointed as JANA’s next CEO,” Dudley said. “The business has grown from strength to strength in recent years to emerge as Australia’s largest investment advisor, advising more than 85 clients and surpassing $1 trillion in total funds under advice.
“At JANA, we are driven by knowing that the work we do has a long-lasting impact on society, communities and the lives of millions of people. I am very excited to lead JANA’s next chapter in continuing to grow our practice and drive the best possible outcomes for our clients,” she said.
Dudley and Lamborn will deliver a joint address at the JANA Annual Conference on 15 September 2022.
