ACC has appointed David Iverson into the role of Chief Investment Officer
New Zealand’s Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) has appointed David Iverson as Chief Investment Officer (CIO), effective 9 June 2025.
Iverson succeeds Paul Dyer, who announced his upcoming retirement in late 2024 and will continue in his role until 6 June.
Iverson was previously Head of Asset Allocation at ACC, a role he took up in 2021 at the NZ$49 billion fund. In this role, he led the fund’s dynamic asset allocation program. Iverson joined ACC after spending more than 12 years at New Zealand Super, where he was instrumental in establishing the strategic tilting program, a form of DAA.
“We’re delighted with David’s appointment,” Megan Main, Chief Executive Officer of ACC, says.
“His deep investment expertise, commercial focus and thoughtful leadership style will set the investment team up incredibly well, and he will be a valued member of ACC’s executive leadership team.”
