ART has overhauled its investment operating model, creating a series of general manager roles, while two senior executive depart the superannuation fund.
The Australian Retirement Trust (ART) has restructured its investment team, creating a series of general manager roles to look after the various asset classes and strategies.
The general managers will report to Ian Patrick, Chief Investment Officer of ART.
Under the new structure, Andrew Fisher, who is currently Head of Investment Strategy, will become General Manager, Total Portfolio Management & Resilience, while Elizabeth Kumaru will take up the role of General Manager, Growth Assets.
Global Head of Real Assets Michael Weaver will become General Manager, Mid Risk Assets & UK.
Nicole Bradford will take on the role of General Manager, Sustainable Investments & Planning, while Jody Fitzgerald will become General Manager, Defensive Liquid Assets & Portfolio Intelligence.
As a result of the changes, Greg Barnes, Head of Public Markets, and Herbert Chang, Head of Capital Markets, will leave the fund.
“Our investment team is focused on delivering strong returns for our nearly 2.4 million members, supporting them to achieve their retirement goals. To support the next phase of our development and continue delivering strong outcomes for our members, we have updated our investments operating model,” Patrick said in a statement to [i3] Insights.
“The structure recognises core functional groupings that underpin our current activities, aligning accountabilities with our integrated approach to managing portfolios and supports the continuing evolution of our operations as we strive to deliver world class investment capability,” he said.
The changes come three years after the merger between SunSuper and QSuper, which created a fund with more than $300 billion in assets under management.
