ART Reshuffles Investment Team

Appoints Fisher as Head of Investment Strategy

Australian Retirement Trust (ART) has reshuffled its investments team, appointing Andrew Fisher as Head of Investment Strategy for the entire fund as of 27 March 2023.

Fisher was previously Head of Super Savings Investment Strategy at ART, which included predominantly the strategies previously run under the SunSuper brand, but his role has now broadened to include the QSuper portfolios.

Damian Lillicrap, Head of Strategy for the QSuper portfolios at ART, has chosen to pursue opportunities outside of ART, the fund said. His last day will be Friday 31 March.

“Damian was a founding member of the QSuper investment strategy team and has been instrumental in its outcomes for over a decade,” Ian Patrick, Chief Investment Officer of ART said.

“During that time Damian and his team demonstrated courageous innovation by pioneering a risk aware approach within the Australian superannuation context both at portfolio and asset class level.

“He has built a strong capability around him and has been a committed team member. I want to personally acknowledge his contribution and thank him on behalf of all of us at ART and the members he has served,” Patrick said.

ART has also created the role of Head of Investment Resilience and Planning, which will focus on ongoing resilience testing of the fund’s portfolios and capabilities.

“This role will be advertised internally and externally next week,” the fund said.
