ART names Sustainable Investment Head

Nicole Bradford joins from Cbus

The Australian Retirement Trust has appointed Nicole Bradford as Head of Sustainable Investment to spearhead the fund’s efforts in ESG.

The Australian Retirement Trust (ART) has appointed Nicole Bradford as its new Head of Sustainable Investment. Bradford joins the fund from Cbus, where she was Global Hea do Responsible Investment.

Bradford will start in her role at ART on Monday 16 May 2022.

“This is a critical role for Australian Retirement Trust, helping to build on the combined capability and strength of the wider investment team, and we are fortunate to have someone of Nicole’s experience and leadership qualities join the team,” Ian Patrick, Chief Investment Officer of ART said.

“As a profit-for-members superannuation fund, we believe integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into our investment philosophy is consistent with better investment outcomes and contributes to a more sustainable future for our members and all Australians.

“At Australian Retirement Trust, we’re committed to being a force for good that enhances retirement outcomes and to make the world a better place for our more than two million members,” Patrick said.

ART is the combined entity of Sunsuper and QSuper. It only finalised the merger of the two super funds on 28 February 2022.

In March last year, [i3] Insights published an in-depth podcast interview with Bradford, where we spoke about commitments to achieve net zero carbon by 2050, the UN-backed sustainable development goals and green washing.
